This replaced a dated bathroom of a very particular vintage — a corner drop-in tub, a gold-framed neo-angle shower and a glass block window, all of it eating floor area and giving very little back.
Pulling the corner tub is what unlocks a room like this. Fixtures set on a diagonal eat floor space in every direction at once and leave nothing usable behind them, so losing one buys back more room than its own footprint — enough here for a straight run of vanity and a clear path down the middle.
The new vanity is light wood with a quartz top and two undermount basins, sized to the wall rather than bought to a standard width, so there is no filler panel at either end. Arched mirrors and sconces between them keep the eye up, which makes the ceiling feel further away than it is.
Marble-look porcelain in the shower with a pebble floor gives grip underfoot without a mosaic that needs sealing every year. The linen tower is built in to the depth of the wall so it does not project into the walkway.
